NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – It was a strong start to the 2016 season for the Mount Holyoke College track & field team, who competed at the Beynon Invitational at Smith College on Saturday. In the 1 mile event, Lyons sophomore Sunny Shan finished fifth with a time of 5:17.19. That time was a DIII New England and ECAC qualifying mark. She also placed sixth in the 800-meter run, crossing the line in a DIII New England qualifying time of 2:24.61.

In the 60-meter hurdles, first year Ally Stoll powered her way to third overall. Her time of 9.78 was a DIII New England qualifying time.
