THE MATCHUP: Mount Holyoke welcomes the Pioneers of Smith College for the 52nd time in program history. The series dates back to 1975, which saw the Pioneers defeat the Lyons 6-3. Since then, MHC has built a 26-24-1 series advantage, including four straight wins since 2013.

THE LYONS: Mount Holyoke (3-10; 1-5 NEWMAC) enters the regular season finale after a tough 9-8 loss to Wellesley College on Saturday. Junior midfielder Kaitlin Braz led the team with three goals, including a goal to tie the game late in the second half. First year attack Mary LaVigne also had a strong game with a pair of goals and a helper. For the season, senior captain Charlotte Wagner leads the team offensively with 36 goals and is fifth in the NEWMAC, while Braz leads the conference in ground balls (53). As a team, the Lyons rank third in the NEWMAC with 298 ground balls.

THE PIONEERS: Smith College (9-7; 1-6 NEWMAC) comes into the game after a 12-6 victory over Coast Guard Academy on Saturday. Leading the Pioneers was sophomore midfielder Emily Biggs, who came off the bench for a season-high four goals. Classmate and midfielder Chloe Harris added three tallies, with three ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers. For the season, Harris currently leads the NEWMAC with 73 points on 51 goals and 22 assists.
