THE MATCHUP: Mount Holyoke welcomes the Pride of Springfield on Saturday for the 29th time in program history. The series began in 1983, with a 4-3 victory for the Lyons. Since then, Springfield has held a 23-4 advantage overall. The Lyons most recent win came in 2013.
 
THE LYONS: Mount Holyoke (2-8; 0-3 NEWMAC) comes off of a 13-5 loss at Wheaton on Wednesday. Junior midfielder Kaitlin Braz and first year attacker Mary LaVigne each notched two assist, while defensively, first year Julianna Rankin picked up five ground balls,  two draw controls, and had one caused turnover. For the season, senior captain Charlotte Wagner leads the team with 28 goals and is fourth in the NEWMAC. First year goalie Mia Wysocki is fifth in the conference with a 43.5 save percentage.  

THE PRIDE: Springfield (6-4; 3-0 NEWMAC) enters Saturday's game on a three-game win streak after besting Coast Guard Academy, 14-1 on Wednesday. Junior attack Shelby Corsano led the effort with a game-high four goals, while junior midfielder Kristen Steidler had four ground balls. On the year, Corsano leads the team with 34 points, while in net, senior keeper Gabby Anderson has 74 saves.

NEXT UP: Mount Holyoke will hit the road on Wednesday when it travels to Coast Guard Academy at 7:00pm. Springfield is also in action on Wednesday, hosting Westfield State at 6:00pm.
