SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (May 26, 2010) – Senior midfielder Perry Markell has been named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England All-Star Second Team after helping Mount Holyoke College to its most wins in over 15 years.

One of the Lyons top all around threats, she piled up 61 points on 49 goals and 12 assists in just 18 games played. Markell established a new program single season record with 159 draw controls and was among the national leaders in the category. Her six points in the contest were a season high.

Third year head coach Miriam Esber’s squad currently leads the nation in draw controls per game with 19.17.
