Ursinus Joins Top Three in Field Hockey Poll

NFHCA Division III Poll (10/20/09)

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (Oct. 21, 2009) - Messiah College is the nation's top ranked team for the sixth week in a row according to the most recent version of the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Poll (10/20/09). The Falcons earned 44 first place votes to remain atop the rankings. Salisbury University sits in the number two position for the sixth week in a row. Meanwhile, Ursinus College has ascended to the number three position.

The Division III National Championship is slated to take place at the Mount Holyoke Turf Field in November. Over the course of the fall, the NFHCA Poll will be released each Tuesday. Check the Mount Holyoke Athletics website for links to the polls each week.
