TROY, N.Y. (May 18, 2012) – 
Senior Miriam Larson-Koester put the finishing touches on her outstanding career with a fifth place performance in the discus this afternoon at the ECAC Division III Championships. The two-day event took place at RPI and featured individuals from 90 different schools.
With her toss of 40.34 meters, Larson-Koester earned All-ECAC honors and put Mount Holyoke College in 42nd place overall with four points. This was the second time in her career that she earned All-ECAC accolades.
Last week, Larson-Koester established a new school record in the event with a distance of 42.06 at the New England Championships.
A total of 55 schools recorded points at the competition. Ithaca College rolled to the team title with 68 points. The Bombers were followed by Wheaton College (60) and Williams College (43) in the final standings.
