Larson-Koester Earns All-Region Honors at New England Division III Championships

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (May 5, 2012) – Senior Miriam Larson-Koester continued her outstanding spring with another strong performance in the discus at the New England Division III Championships this weekend. The three-day event took place at MIT and included the top individuals from around the region.

As a result of her fifth place toss of 38.47 meters, Larson-Koester earned All-Region honors for the third time in her career. Her four points put Mount Holyoke in 25th place overall.

A total of 29 schools posted points at the event. Williams College cruised to the team title with 157 points. The Ephs were followed by MIT (124) and Tufts University (81) in the final standings.

Larson-Koester will represent Mount Holyoke at the New England Championships next weekend at MIT. The meet is slated to begin on Friday and run through Saturday.
