Khan Collects "Lyon of the Week" Accolades
Squash team member Lila Khan has been named “Lyon of the Week” for the week of November 30-December 6. With Khan leading the way, the Lyons posted a perfect 4-0 record at Wesleyan University over the weekend. The senior won all four of her matches in straight sets, dropping just 51 points in the process. In Mount Holyoke's 9-0 victory over Northeastern University on Saturday, she downed Cassidy Need 3-0 (11-7, 11-3, 11-2) at the number seven slot. Later that day, she manned the number six spot and cruised to a 3-0 (11-4, 11-3, 11-0) win over Jillian Sundler in Mount Holyoke's 9-0 sweep of Connecticut College. Khan was at it again in the Lyons 7-2 victory over William Smith College on Sunday, when she handed Alexa Comstock a 3-0 (11-7, 11-7, 11-1) setback in their number six matchup. She rounded out her weekend with a 3-0 (11-2, 11-5, 11-3) win over Wesleyan University's Caroline Fox at the number seven position, helping Mount Holyoke to an 8-1 triumph.
