THE MATCHUP: Mount Holyoke begins its two-game homestand, welcoming the Cougars of Clark University on Wednesday. The series between the two clubs dates back to 1997, beginning with a 1-0 Cougars' win. Clark currently holds the series advantage by a 14-5-1 margin. MHC has the momentum of a two-game win streak against the Cougars, including a double-overtime victory in 2014.

THE LYONS: Mount Holyoke (5-5-0; 0-2-0 NEWMAC) returns to play following a 2-0 loss to MIT last Saturday. Senior captain Zoe Marshall was active in net, making a season high 15 saves. Marshall  is among the best netminers in the conference with a NEWMAC best, 75 saves and an .893 save percentage, good for second. Sophomore forward Sara Sanaú Ruiz continues to lead the NEWMAC with nine assists through ten games.

THE Cougars: Clark (4-2-0; 1-1-0 NECC) enters the pitch after a 3-0 shutout win against New England College last Sunday. The Cougars are led by senior forward and captain Kara Fischer who has a team best four goals on the season. First year forward Hannah Crook and sophomore forward Eliza Meltzer lead the team with two assists each. In net, first year keeper Julianna Christy leads the way with 39 saves and sits right behind Marshall in the NEWMAC with an .848 save percentage.

NEXT UP: Mount Holyoke will hit the pitch again on Saturday in its second game of a back-to-back homestand facing Wellesley in the Coaches vs. Cancer game at 2:00pm. The Cougars will be back at home on Saturday facing MIT in its Breast Cancer Awareness game with a 1:00pm start time.
