THE MATCHUP: Mount Holyoke welcomes Emerson on Saturday in the fifth all-time meeting between the two programs. The series, which began in 1999 with a 1-0 Emerson victory, favors the Lions by a 3-2 margin. The Lyons won last year's meering 2-0 in Boston.

THE LYONS: Mount Holyoke (4-3-0; 0-1-0 NEWMAC)  enters Saturday coming off of a 1-0 triumph over Albertus Magnus on Tuesday, notching its fourth win of the season. The match saw first year forward Hannah Finn-Erb, who is now the team leader in goals, score her fourth tally. Assisting on the play was sophomore forward Sara Sanaú Ruiz who is the conference leader in assists with seven. Senior keeper and captain Zoe Marshall made eight saves, extending her total to 54 on the year, which is good for first in the conference.   

THE LIONS: Emerson College (3-4-0; 0-1 NEWMAC) also comes off of a 1-0 victory over Lesley College Tuesday. Sophomore forward Paige Haley scored the lone goal of the match in the 21st minute off of a cross from first year forward Veronica Alberts. Through seven games, Haley and sophomore forward Jess Frost lead the team with five goals. Alberts has gathered four assists this season, good for first on the team. Senior goalkeeper Melanie Escobar is the team leader with 21 saves.

NEXT UP: Mount Holyoke plays the last of a three-game homestand Tuesday at 6:00pm, facing Bay Path College. Emerson starts a three-game homestand of its own, facing Pine Manor, Wednesday at 6:00pm.
