THE MATCHUP: Mount Holyoke hosts nationally ranked Wheaton College Saturday afternoon (1:00 p.m.) at the Soccer Field. In 35 previous meetings between the programs, Wheaton owns a 19-13 advantage. MHC Logo THE MOUNT HOLYOKE LYONS: Mount Holyoke (2-4-0, 1-1-0 NEWMAC) will look to rebound after suffering three straight setbacks. After topping Colby-Sawyer College 2-1 in their season opener, the Lyons cruised to a 3-1 triumph over longtime rival Smith College in their first league tilt a week later. They have been paced by forward Margaret Hanmer and midfielder Hannah Yee, who have netted two goals apiece. Midfielder Mallory Phaneuf has contributed a goal and two assists, while forward Kiana Lussier has scored once and assisted on another. Emily Shank has been Mount Holyoke's featured goalkeeper. In 360 minutes played, she has turned away 20 shots.    

Opponent Logo THE WHEATON LYONS: Wheaton (7-1-2, 2-0-0) has exploded out of the gate, winning seven of its first ten matches of the season. Forward Kristina Braga has figured in on nine of her team's 23 goals, scoring six and assisting on three others. The Lyons have also received solid production from forward Cassey Muse, who has totaled four goals and three assists. Midfielder Joy-Marie Fernandes has found the back of the net four times. Meanwhile, forward Lauren Corigliano has chipped in with three goals and a pair of assists. Lindsay Leddy has played 761 minutes between the pipes for Wheaton. She has posted a goals against average of 0.71 and a save percentage of .846. 

NEXT UP: Both squads will resume their NEWMAC schedules on the road on Tuesday. Mount Holyoke will visit the Coast Guard Academy at 6:00 p.m., while Wheaton will travel to Wellesley College at 4:00 p.m.

Both squads will return to action on Saturday. Mount Holyoke will host NEWMAC foe Wheaton College at 1:00 p.m., while Union will entertain St. John Fisher College at 2:00 p.m.
