BABSON PARK, Mass. (Nov. 10, 2010) – The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) recently announced its award winners for the 2010 season. Representing Mount Holyoke College was senior Jacquelyn Archibald, who was selected to the NEWMAC All-Conference Second Team.

Archibald started all 16 matches for Mount Holyoke. The forward scored two goals and assisted on two others. She found the back of the net in the Lyons' 2-1 triumph over the Coast Guard Academy (10/5) and also scored a goal against Connecticut College (10/12). Her assists came in contests against Elms College (10/21) and Clark University (10/23). Archibald was her team's leader both on and off the field.

The senior enjoyed a productive four year career at Mount Holyoke. She served as captain for the past two seasons. In 64 matches played, she accumulated 21 points on seven goals and seven assists.

MIT midfielder Lauren Hernley was named NEWMAC Athlete of the Year for the second consecutive season, while forward Megan Forti of WPI earned NEWMAC Rookie of the Year accolades. John Gibson was voted as the league's Coach of the Year after guiding Springfield College to its second NEWMAC Tournament Championship in the past three years. With Tournament Most Outstanding Player Erin Greenstein leading the way, the Pride posted a pair of one goal victories. The goalkeeper surrendered just one goal while making 11 saves. The Coast Guard Academy received the NEWMAC Sportsmanship Award for the second time.
