THE MATCHUP: Mount Holyoke welcomes the Lions of Emerson on Saturday for just the 13th time in program history. The series dates back to 2002, which saw MHC defeat the Lions, 66-36. Mount Holyoke turned the win into a seven-game streak, ending in 2013. Emerson has won the last three matchups, but the Lyons hold an 8-4 advantage overall.

THE LYONS: Mount Holyoke (2-17 overall; 0-12 NEWMAC) enters the contest looking to bounce back after a tough 76-25 road loss to WPI on Wednesday night. Sophomore Leah Hodges had a career-high and game-best 12 points on the evening to go along with four rebounds and two assists. First year Katlyn Grover continued her streak with at least one three-pointer made in the last nine games. On the season, senior captain Kathryn Violette and first year Xajaah Williams-Flores are both averaging 8.3 points. Williams-Flores is averaging a near double-double with 9.8 rebounds a game as well.
 
THE LIONS: Emerson (10-10 overall; 3-8 NEWMAC) comes into the match on a two-game win streak, including a 65-59 win on Wednesday over Wheaton.  The Lions saw three players in the starting lineup eclipse double-digits, including sophomore guard Natalie Busche who had a team-high 17 points on 6-8 shooting from the field. On the season, sophomore forward Charlie Boyle leads the team with 12.4 points a game and 6.4 rebounds. Junior guard Eastin Ashby has been a solid defensive presence this season, averaging 2.6 steal a game.

NEXT UP: Mount Holyoke will have a quick turnaround, hosting Norwich University at 7:00pm on Tuesday in non-conference action. Emerson will be back in action on Wednesday, hosting conference leader Babson at 7:30pm.
