Pascual Collects "Lyon of the Week" Honors
First year basketball team member Angelica Pascual has been named “Lyon of the Week” for the week of February 8-14. The guard racked up 12.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game, as Mount Holyoke split a pair of league games.
In addition to recording her third double-double of the season on 11 points and 10 boards in the Lyons 56-44 setback to WPI on Wednesday, she also dished out three assists and drained a pair of three pointers. Pacual then amassed 14 points and nine rebounds in the Lyons 60-50 triumph over MIT on Saturday. With the win, Mount Holyoke clinched a spot in the upcoming NEWMAC Tournament.
Over the course of her rookie year, Pascual has knocked down 23 treys en route to posting a team best scoring average of 10.7 points per game. She has also tallied 6.5 rebounds per outing to go with 37 assists and 23 steals.
