Pillard Voted Academic All-America

June 17, 2004 - Senior swimmer Sarah Pillard was named to the Academic All-America At-Large, Third Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America. Throughout her collegiate career, Pillard posted 13 individual and four relay records, was named team MVP, won several awards in chemistry, biology, and mathematics, and was elected Sigma Xi. She graduated on May 23rd with a degree in biochemistry and a GPA of 3.91.

Pillard was first voted to the Academic All-District I team on May 27th, one of ten athletes chosen among 15 varsity sports at Division III colleges from the northeast and several Canadian provinces. Her name was then forwarded to the national ballot, which included First Team selections from all eight districts. She was one of 45 athletes to receive this national recognition.
