Libby Sams (Atlanta, Ga.) of the riding team has been selected as the Mount Holyoke College Athletics "Lyon of the Week" after her impressive performance at the Lyons' first home show of the year this past Saturday.
Sams, a Chemistry major at Mount Holyoke College, helped the Lyons to a perfect score of 49 at Saturday's Mount Holyoke College Show, as the junior captain was named the overall High Point Rider following her impressive day. Sams secured the Intermediate High Point Rider Title following a first-place finish in the Intermediate Fences to earn her first blue ribbon of the day, before winning the first section of the Intermediate Flat for her second blue ribbon.
