Colorado Springs, Colo. - August 21, 2019 - Junior Samantha Nemivant (Scottsdale, Ariz.) and sophomore Katie Kolozsvari (Danville, Ind.) of the Mount Holyoke College swimming and diving team were honored for their commitment to academics as well as athletics earlier this summer, as the duo earned College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Honorable Mention Scholar All-America honors.

In order to land a spot on the Honorable Mention Scholar All-America team, student-athletes must have produced a grade-point average of 3.50 and achieved a "B" time standard or competed at an NCAA Regional or Zone Diving qualifier. This marks the second-consecutive season that Nemivant was recognized by the CSCAA, and first for Kolozsvari. At the NCAA Division III Regional Championships this past season, Nemivant took 11th on the one-meter board and 12th on the three-meter board, while Kolozsvari finished 19th in all of New England in both events.

"Katie and Sam have been great team leaders, both in the pool and on the deck," said head Mount Holyoke College swimming and diving coach Dave Allen. "Their success in the classroom and on the boards shows their dedication to both. It was an honor to see them represent Mount Holyoke College at the 2019 NCAA Division III Region 3 Championships and be named by the CSCAA to the Honorable Mention Scholar All-American Team."

Earlier this summer, Mount Holyoke College swimming and diving also earned CSCAA Scholar All-America team honors, which is awarded to teams that meet a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for the semester. The Lyons mark of 3.66 following the 2018-19 season ranked them tied for 13th nationally amongst all Division III teams.
