The Mount Holyoke College cross country team once again had another strong season in 2015, under the direction of fifth-year head coach Jennifer Adams. The Lyons ran to five top-10 finishes and were 32nd or better in all seven meets.

MHC was paced by senior Elizabeth DeLeon and sophomore Sunny Shan, who were the Lyons' top finishers for the majority of the season. DeLeon posted the top time in four races, while Shan was the top finisher in three races – highlighted by Sisters All-Tournament Team honors and NEWMAC All-Conference recognition in back-to-back races.

DeLeon helped kick-off the 2015 season at the Smith College Invitational, finishing third overall to lead the Lyons to the meet victory in a field of nine teams. For her efforts, DeLeon earned NEWMAC Runner of the Week honors. Mount Holyoke then headed to the Purple Valley Classic at Williams College, finishing ninth of 17 schools in the very competitive meet. DeLeon once again led the way, finishing 47th overall in the field of 244 participants.

The Lyons then headed to the Paul Short Invitational, which saw DeLeon finish 10th overall, to guide Mount Holyoke to a seventh-place finish in the field of 43 teams in the White race.

After a solid showing at the Open New England Championships, Mount Holyoke kicked-off the final stretch of competition, beginning with the Seven Sisters Championship at Bryn Mawr College. Behind a ninth-place and All-Seven Sisters Team finish from Shan, the Lyons were second overall in the field of seven, marking the first-ever runner-up finish for Mount Holyoke.

The Lyons then took sixth at the NEWMAC Championship as Shan placed 13thth overall to garner All-Conference honors and was one of three MHC runners to finish in the top 45. The season concluded at the NCAA New England Championship as Mount Holyoke finished 19th of 56 teams. DeLeon paced the MHC effort in that race once again, crossing the line in 77th out of 390 runners.

The Lyons also continued to shine academically as sophomores Mia Barnes, Hannah Gershone, Gargi Mishra and Kelly Stevens, along with junior Brianna Weir were all named to the NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Team.
