Sophomore Camille Coklow was named the Lyon of the Week after capturing her first NEWMAC title at last week's championships, hosted by Mount Holyoke. She claimed victory in the 100-meter dash finishing tops in a field of 19 runners.
Sophomore Cathleen Pruden has been tabbed as this week’s Lyon of the Week after an outstanding performance at last weekend’s NEWMAC Championships. The swimmer made another outstanding impact as she helped the Lyons achieve six of 11 new school records, while also grabbing a meet record of her own.
Junior Amber Legare has been named this week’s recipient of the Lyon of the Week award. A forward on the basketball team, Legare helped MHC go 1-1 last week, including a thrilling 61-59 win at Clark where she tallied the game-winning shot with two seconds remaining.
This week the Lyon of the Week award goes out to a team for the second time this season. Garnering this week’s honors was the field hockey team, which concluded their 2013 season on Saturday with an outstanding performance in the NCAA Tournament Second Round.
The Mount Holyoke College Novice Crew boats were named recipients of this week's Lyon of the Week honor after both teams claimed victory at the Seven Sisters Championship last week and helped MHC finish second overall at the event.
Mount Holyoke College junior midfielder Kirsten Kilburn has been selected as the Lyon of the Week for the period ending September 22nd. Kilburn helped guide the Lyons field hockey team to a pair of wins last week, including a huge effort against Castleton State.
Senior Eman Malik was chosen as the first recipient of the Lyon of the Week for the 2013-14 season. A captain on the tennis team, she battled to a 3-0 singles mark last week to remain undefeated on the season in the fifth flight.
