  • 2012-13 Cross Country Year in Review

    The Mount Holyoke College cross country team continued to improve in 2012, powered by outstanding efforts from several young competitors. Under the direction of second-year head coach Jennifer Adams, the Lyons posted four top-10 finishes on the season and were 20th or better in all seven meets.
  • Cross Country Solid at NCAA New England Regionals

    The Mount Holyoke College cross country team concluded its fall 2012 slate on Saturday, finising 19th of 51 competing teams at the NCAA New England Regional Championship, hosted by Westfield State University. The Lyons posted a combined 609 points at the event, which was won by the top-ranked team in the region and NEWMAC-rival, MIT.
  • Cross Country Finishes Well at NEWMAC Championships

    The Mount Holyoke College cross country team had a strong showing at this year’s NEWMAC Championships, placing seventh among the 10 competing teams in the 5k race (145 runners). The Lyons were paced by first year Elizabeth DeLeon, who finished 25th overall with a time of 19:39.65.
  • Cross Country Competes at Seven Sisters Championship

    Host Wellesley College took home the team title at the 31st Seven Sisters Cross Country Championship, held at Elm Bank Reservation in Wellesley. The 5k event featured 94 runners from six teams, as Wellesley welcomed Bryn Mawr College, Mount Holyoke College, Smith College, St. Catherine University and Vassar College.
  • Cross Country Finishes Well at James Earley Invitational

    Led by a number of strong performances, the Mount Holyoke College cross country team finished 12th of 43 teams at the 2012 James Earley Invitational, hosted by Westfield State University. The Lyons were paced by first year Elizabeth DeLeon, who was 52nd overall in the 6k event with a time of 24:14.17. The race featured 453 competitors.
  • Cross Country Finishes Second at Keene State Invitational

    The Mount Holyoke College cross country team saw each of its five team finishers place in the top-25 as the Lyons were second overall of six teams at the 2012 Keene State Invitational. MHC posted a score of 67, finishing second only to the host Owls.
  • Cross Country Finishes Well at UMASS-Dartmouth Invitational

    Paced by two individual finishes in the top-50, the Mount Holyoke College cross country team placed 16th of 38 competing squads at the 2012 UMASS-Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday. Leading the way for the second straight week was first year Elizabeth DeLeon, who was 30th overall in the field of 293 runners.
  • DeLeon Paces Cross Country in Season Opener

    Paced by a seventh-place finish from first year Elizabeth DeLeon, the Mount Holyoke cross country team to fourth overall at the season-opening Pioneers Invitational at Smith College. The Lyons posted a combined score of 112 points in the meet, which featured 14 teams.
