Rowing Records Top 20 Finish at Iconic Head of the Charles Regatta

Boston, Mass. - October 24, 2021 - Competing amongst 40 other collegiate rowing teams at the iconinc Head of the Charles Regatta on Sunday, the Mount Holyoke College rowing team placed 18th overall in the Women's Collegiate Eights.

Mount Holyoke College clocked a time of 18:14.979 and defeated teams such as Wesleyan, RIT, Bowdoin and New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) foe WPI.

The Lyons boat, which featured Jaya Nagarajan-Swenson (Berkley, Calif.) as the coxswain, contained Celeste Keep (Bolton, Mass.), Emma Waldron (Pittsburgh, Pa.), Simran Kaur (Hanover, N.H.), Jocelyn Greer (Athens, N.Y.), Liv Romanowsky (Simsbury, Conn.), Ellie Mohn (Exeter, Conn.) Jill Slatch (Gansevoort, N.Y.) and Claire Gabel (Watertown, Mass.).

The Head of the Charles Regatta marked the final competition of the Fall 2021 semester for the Mount Holyoke College rowing team.
