Mount Holyoke College Athletics to Feature 15 Alums in Career Transition Event for Senior Student-Athletes

South Hadley, Mass. - January 27, 2021 - As part of the Peak Performance and Leadership Academy at Mount Holyoke College, the Department of Athletics and Physical Education is offering a virtual Career Transition Event for senior student-athletes on Sunday, January 31 at 5 p.m.

This event will be an opportunity for senior student-athletes to connect with 15 former Mount Holyoke College Lyons that are currently working in the field of their interests.

"We're excited to 'welcome back' 15 standout student-athlete alums to engage with our senior student-athletes," added Associate Director of Athletics, Programming Erica Lemm. "This year's unique challenges presented an outstanding opportunity to rethink our signature senior event to incorporate additional alums from all over the country. The attending alums we're invited purposely because their career paths match the post graduate interests and plans of our seniors. We are looking forward to a fantastic evening of information and connection and hope this is the beginning of continued relationships between the student-athletes and our powerful alums at Mount Holyoke."

The evening will begin with a welcome from Lori Hendricks '92, Director of Athletics at Mount Holyoke College, before the group will be led through a panel called "From MHC to the Real World: Alumnae Transition Strategies", facilitated by the College's Associate Director for Career Advising, Kelly Woods.

The evening will wrap up with networking breakout rooms that will be separated by industry and interests. Multiple breakout sessions will be held allowing senior student-athletes the opportunity to meet with multiple alums one-on-one and in small groups.
