Kalahe Opens Play at CSA Individual National Championships

Philadelphia, Pa. - March 4, 2022 - Senior Mihiliya Kalahe (Panadura, Sri Lanka) of the Mount Holyoke College squash team opened competition at the 2022 College Squash Association (CSA) Individual National Championships, hosted by Drexel University on Friday afternoon.

Kalahe opened the tournament with a contest versus Marcela Marquez of William Smith, where she fell in three games by the scores of 12-10, 11-6, 11-2. Heading to the consolation quarterfinals, the senior rebounded with a victory over Portia Pliam of Wesleyan, where Kalahe prevailed by the scores of 11-3, 11-2, 11-4.

On Saturday, Kalahe will compete in the consolation semifinals of the Holleran B East Division and will take on Chatham's Sofia Ramos at 1:00 p.m.
