State officials, community leaders, local residents and members of the College community joined together to officially unveil the Mount Holyoke Community Boathouse on April 25, 2010. Situated along the Connecticut River on 8.5 acres of land, the $2.1 facility was a dream come true for 19^th year head coach Jeanne Friedman. In addition to providing her team with a home, it would also give community members access to the river.

Over the course of their 2009-10 campaign, the Lyons consistently produced outstanding results.

They kicked things off with three competitions during the fall. After taking second place in both the first varsity eight and first novice eight divisions at the Head of the Riverfront Regatta, they received a first place finish from their top varsity eight boat at the Quinsigamond Snake Regatta less than a week later.

Mount Holyoke then grabbed second place at the 23^rd annual Seven Sisters Championship Regatta. Host Wellesley College secured top honors at the event, which took place on the Charles River. After ending the day in a deadlock atop the standings with the Lyons at 22 points, Wellesley was declared champion by virtue of a better finish in the first varsity race. Seniors Caitlin Parsley and Jessica Suhowatsky each represented Mount Holyoke on the All-Regatta Team.

The team took part in six more events during the spring. Five of their competitions took place on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass.

Mount Holyoke recorded 18 points to secure third place in the Florence Jope Smith Cup Point standings at the NEWMAC Championships. Junior Cleo Schneider and first year Clare Enright were selected to the NEWMAC All-Conference Varsity Team, while first year Minuri Amarasuriya earned NEWMAC All-Conference Novice Team accolades.

The Lyons competed in the New England Rowing Championships and the ECAC National Invitational Collegiate Regatta to round out their 2008-09 campaign. At the New England Rowing Championships, Mount Holyoke's varsity eight boat secured top honors in the Petite Final. It was the seventh best squad overall and ranked fourth among NCAA Division III competitors. The Lyons second varsity and first novice eight boats also crossed the line first in the Petite Finals of their divisions. As a team, Mount Holyoke finished in seventh place overall. The Lyons then registered a sixth place finish the following weekend at the ECAC Championships. Their first varsity eight entrant collected fourth place in the Petite Finals, which was good for 10^th place overall and eighth among NCAA Division III squads. Schneider was named to the ECAC All-Conference Team as a result of her performance at the event.

At the conclusion of the season, Schneider became the fifth rower/coxswain in program history to earn CRCA Division III Pocock All-America honors. She was voted to the second team.
