THE MATCHUP: Mount Holyoke College returns to action on Saturday, opening NEWMAC play at home against Wheaton College. It marks the 43rd all-time meeting in the Battle of the Lyons, which began in 1980 - a 10-10 tie. Wheaton has seen the most success in the rivalry, owning a 29-10-3 mark over the past 37 years, including wins in each of the last seven games.

THE LYONS: Mount Holyoke (1-5), which saw its mid-week game at Salve Regina cancelled due to weather (3/21), is back at home following a training trip to Colorado last week. The Lyons shouldered tough losses to Rensselaer and Colorado College out West, but were led by a solid two-goal, three assist performance from senior captain Leila Kouakou. In goal, sophomore Mia Wysocki recoreded 22 saves, including 12 against the homestanding Tigers.

THE LYONS: Wheaton (2-4) is back in action following a 6-5 home victory over Bridgewater State on Monday. First year Maggie Dymes scored the game-winning goal with 6:34 left in the game to push the Lyons ahead 6-5. She also provided two assists on the night. Senior goalie Molly Witten recorded a season-high 13 saves in the win.

UP NEXT: Mount Holyoke returns to action next Saturday when it travels to MIT for a 1pm contest. Wheaton is back on the field on Wednesday, hosting Plymouth State at 7pm.
