The Mount Holyoke College lacrosse program takes pride in a long history of success within the region and beyond. As a member of the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC), the team is annually pitted against nationally respected opponents such as Springfield College, Wheaton College and Babson College.

Program History

In 2010, the Lyons advanced to the championship game of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) New England Tournament. The team finished as the national leader in draw controls per game.

Lacrosse begins each year with a fall non-traditional season in which the team trains three times a week for a period of five weeks and competes during the final weekend of the season. "Fall ball" is an invaluable opportunity for players to hone their technical skills before the start of the traditional season in the spring. Team tryouts are held in mid-February, and the regular season generally runs through the first week in May. The team has recently travelled to California and Florida to train over spring break.

As a Mount Holyoke scholar-athlete, you are driven to excel in the athletic arena as well as the classroom and laboratory. The discipline, sense of accomplishment, and competitive edge that you bring to your sport resonate through every channel of your intellectual life.

The desire to achieve -- it's all part of the mind-body connection.
