THE MATCHUP: Mount Holyoke plays its final regular season home game of 2016 on Wednesday, welcoming the Jeffs of Amherst College to the Turf Field. It marks the 24th all-time meeting between the two programs, dating back to the first contest in 1978 - a 13-3 MHC win. The Jeffs own the series advantage at 14-8-1 and have won each of the last seven meetings.

THE LYONS: Mount Holyoke (2-9, 1-5 NEWMAC) shouldered a tough loss at MIT on Saturday, despite a game-best six goals from junior attacker Charlotte Wagner. The Lyons also saw senior captain and attack Julia Bell become just the second player in program history to record 200 career goals.

THE JEFFS: Amherst (9-2, 6-2 NESCAC) attacker Julia Crerend scored with seven seconds remaining to break a 6-6 deadlock and the seventh-ranked Jeffs scored four unanswered goals in the second half to complete a thrilling comeback victory over No. 17 Tufts University, 7-6 on Saturday.

NEXT UP: Mount Holyoke travels to Wellesley on Saturday for a 1pm NEWMAC game, while Amherst heads to Williams for a 12pm NESCAC contest, also on Saturday.
