Schneider Earns ECAC All-Conference

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (May 14, 2010) – Mount Holyoke College crew team member Cleo Schneider has been named to the ECAC National Invitational Rowing Championships All-Conference Team after helping her team to a sixth place finish over the weekend.

Schneider was a member of the Lyons first varsity eight boat that finished in 10th place overall and eighth among NCAA Division III squads. The junior’s squad started the day with a fourth place showing in their preliminary heat (7:13.628). They then nabbed fourth place in the Petite Final (6:59.606), crossing the line in front of both Smith College and Simmons College. The top three finishers in the Petite Final were the College of the Holy Cross (6:55.213), Williams Smith College (6:57.688) and Wellesley College (6:58.990).

The 2010 Championships took place on Sunday at Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass. It was Mount Holyoke’s final competition of the 2009-10 campaign.
