MILL SPRING, N.C. -- The 2023-24 Mount Holyoke College equestrian team's season concluded Saturday at IHSA Nationals at the Tryon International Equestrian Center, with senior Emmie Mirarchi and junior Eimi Fujioka competing for the Lyons in individual categories.

Mirarchi (Harvard, Mass.) wrapped up her outstanding career at Mount Holyoke as one of 16 competitors for the Cacchione Cup individual championship, while Fujioka (Toda-shi, Japan) was one of 16 competitors in the Individual Introductory Flat division.

Mirarchi represented Zone 1 in both the flat and fences phases with great rides, before Fujioka entered the ring with a beautiful ride. Both riders were awarded as national qualifiers.

On Friday, the riders watched some competitive individual classes and cheered on Mount Holyoke's Western team in their team events. The Lyons' Western team placed eighth at their first national finals competition.

Following the show, the riders went to a dinner reception at Tryon International before watching the first in a series of Grand Prix competitions, taking advantage of the chance to watch Olympic level riders and horses compete in person.

The riders enjoyed a later arrival to the show on Sunday to watch the final classes of the team competition and cheer on the Western Team on their last day.
