Jennifer Adams was named the head coach of the Mount Holyoke College cross country team in 2011. She also serves as an assistant coach for both the indoor and outdoor track and field squads at the College.

In 2016, Adams helped lead her squad to a ninth place finish at the NEWMAC Championships and seventh at the Seven Sisters Championship. The Lyons saw its top finish of the year from sophomore Corrin Moss, who finished 31st at the Seven Sisters Championship, followed by first year Alicia Moroyoqui who finished ninth at the Conference Championships and also won the NEWMAC Sportsmanship award.

Adams' squad is coming off a solid 2015 campaign which saw them finish top-ten in five of seven races. Highlighting the year was a win at the Smith Invitational, the program's first-ever runner-up finish at Seven Sisters, placing sixth at the NEWMAC Championship and earning 19th overall at the NCAA New England Regional. The Lyons saw sophomore Sunny Shan earn All-Seven Sisters and All-Conference honors, while senior Elizabeth DeLeon the top finisher in four events, including 77th at the NCAA Regional.

In 2014, the Lyons finished fourth at the Seven Sisters Championship, fifth at the NEWMAC Championships and 19th at the NCAA New England Regional. Highlighting the season was sophomore Becca Rogers, who earned All-Seven Sisters honors after placing sixth overall, and was also a NEWMAC All-Conference selection after finishing ninth. She rounded out the season at the NCAA New England Regional, placing 68th overall in a field of 387 runners.

The 2013 season saw the Lyons finish eighth overall at the NEWMAC Championships, and 24th at the NCAA New England Regional. Additionally, the squad was sixth at the Seven Sisters Championship. Junior Dana Fry paced the way at NEWMAC's, finishing 30th overall, while sophomore Elizabeth DeLeon was 92nd at the NCAA Regional meet.

Adams helped guide her squad to a number of solid finishes during the 2012 campaign, including fourth at the Smith College Invitational and second at the Keene State College Invitational. Additionally, the Lyons were seventh at the NEWMAC Championships and 19th of 51 squads at the NCAA New England Regional Championship. Eight student-athletes were also named to the NEWMAC Academic All-Conference squad.

In her first season at the helm, Adams saw her squad post a number of top finishes, including sixth overall at the Smith College Invitational. The team was also seventh at the NEWMAC Championship and finished 27th overall at the NCAA Division III New England Regional Championship. In addition to earning a USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Award, 10 student-athletes were recognized as NEWMAC Academic All-Conference selections.

Prior to joining the Mount Holyoke staff, Adams enjoyed a two-year stint (2009-10) as an assistant coach for both the men’s and women’s cross country and track and field teams at RPI. She specialized in distance training and also assisted in recruiting efforts. In 2010, Adams helped train the Liberty League Rookie of the Year in both cross country and outdoor track and field. She has been a part of a coaching staff that has garnered Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year honors in each of the last two seasons.

Adams was a standout runner at Keene State College for four seasons. During that time, she earned All-America honors ten times. In addition to capturing an NCAA Division III National Championship in the distance medley relay as a sophomore, she also won the indoor 5,000-meter run national title as a senior. Adams was captain of both the cross country and track and field teams during her junior and senior years.

During her senior year, she was named Little East Conference Runner of the Year for all three sports and earned Keene State’s Female Athlete of the Year Award. Her times in the 5,000-meter run were the best in the nation heading into indoor and outdoor NCAA Championships that season.

In 2007, after winning the New England Regional Cross Country meet, Adams was named New England Cross Country Runner of the Year and was New England Regional Track and Field Athlete of the Year.

Adams graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Keene State in 2008. During her senior year, she earned a USATF Level 1 Coaching Certification as part of a semester long internship.
