SETTING THE SCENE: Mount Holyoke College returns home to face Springfield College for the 34th time in program history. The Pride hold a 32-1 advantage overall.

THE LYONS: Mount Holyoke (7-6; 1-5 NEWMAC) enters the match after a pair of 3-0 non-conference wins over Anna Maria and Framingham State last week. Against Anna Maria, junior middle hitter Jamesa Allen paced the effort for the Lyons with 10 kills, while posting a  career-high six total blocks against Framingham State.  Against the rams, sophomore Sasha Simine notched 16 kills. Overall Simine leads the Lyons with 123 kills and 44 total blocks.

THE PRIDE: Springfield (12-5; 3-3 NEWMAC) comes into South Hadley after splitting tir-match action against Westfield State and Roger Williams on Saturday. In the win over Westfield State, junior outside hitter Jen Donnelly led Springfield with a match-high 10 kills, while first year setter Kayley Cimino handed out 30 assists. Overall for the Pride, junior outside hitter Jen Donnely leads the team with 241 kills and 227 digs.

UP NEXT: Mount Holyoke will be back on the road on Thirsday for a non-conference bout against Western New England at 7:00pm. Springfield will continue on the road against Nazareth on Friday at 7:00pm.
