SETTING THE SCENE: Mount Holyoke College hits the hardwood against Framingham State University for the 10th time in program history, dating back to a 2-0 win for the Lyons in 1977. The Rams currently hold a 5-4 advantage over MHC. The last Lyons victory came in 2004 with a 3-1 win.

THE LYONS: Mount Holyoke (6-6) enters the match after winning two of its last three contests, including a 3-2 come-from-behind victory over WPI. In its most recent win against Anna Maria, junior middle hitter Jamesa Allen led the match with 10 kills, while first year setter Brayden Walden posted a game-high 24 assists. Overall, sophomore middle hitter Sasha Simine leads the team in kills with 107. The reigning Defensive Athlete of the Week also leads the NEWMAC in blocks per set with .98.

THE RAMS: Framingham State (6-11)  enters Thursday after splitting tri-match action against UMass-Dartmouth and the University of New England on Saturday. In the win over UMass-Dartmouth, the Rams were led on the attack by the first years Abbie Badgett and Brandey Rodriguez, who  recorded 11 kills each. Overall, the Rams are led by first year Kelly Brinkman, who has a team-high 88 kills. Junior setter Mackenzie Whalen leads the squad in assists with a 367 total.

UP NEXT: Mount Holyoke will be back at home in NEWMAC action on Tuesday, facing Springfield College at 7:00pm. Framingham State will be back at home on Saturday in tri-match action against Mount Ida and Suffolk, beginning at 12:00pm.
