THE MATCHUP: Mount Holyoke College matches up against Wellesley College on Saturday for the 62nd time in program history. The series dates back to a 6-3 Mount Holyoke victory in 1981. Since then, the Blue have accumulated a 59-2 overall record.
THE LYONS: Mount Holyoke (7-9; 4-2 NEWMAC) enters its final home match of the regular season coming off of a solid 8-1 victory over Clark University on Tuesday. The Lyons went 3-0 in doubles play, while sophomore Catherine Peabody and first year Anya Gerasimova each cruised to 6-0, 6-0 wins in singles action to help deliver an MHC victory. Overall, Peabody and Gerasimova lead the squad in doubles with a record of 10-5. Individually, Peabody also leads the team with a singles record of 9-6.
THE BLUE: #33 Wellesley (11-7; 4-2 NEWMAC) travels to South Hadley following a 9-0 loss to #13 MIT on Tuesday. For the season, junior Justine Huang leads the team with a 12-4 singles record at the top of the lineup. The duo of Huang and sophomore Selina Peng has a team-best mark of 11-3 at first doubles.
NEXT UP: Both teams close out the regular season on Tuesday as Mount Holyoke travels to Smith College and Wellesley hosts Emerson. Action is set to begin at 4:30pm for both teams.
