THE MATCHUP: Mount Holyoke returns to its home courts on Monday, hosting the Sharks of Simmons College. It marks the 19th all-time meeting between the two programs, dating back to the first meeting in 1986-87 - a 5-4 MHC victory.  The series advantage falls in Mount Holyoke's favor by a 10-8 margin, but the Sharks have seen the most recent success. Simmons has won five of the last six meetings with the exception of last fall, which saw the Lyons win 7-2.

THE LYONS:
Mount Holyoke (2-0; 1-0 NEWMAC) returns to the courts on Monday following an outstanding opening week of action. MHC was paced by solid efforts across the board, including 2-0 performances from sophomore Ayame Yazawa, first year Ching-Ching Huang, senior captain Amy Chen and in doubles, junior Ishita Tibrewal, first year Catherine Peabody and senior captain Alexa Colas.

THE SHARKS:
Simmons (0-2; 0-0 GNAC) is back in action following a tough start to the season, falling to Roger Williams (9-0) and Clark (5-4) last week. In the close loss to the Cougars, junior Olivia Lakes was a double winner for the Sharks combining with junior Mary Matthews for a 9-8 (4) win at third doubles, before later winning 7-6 (4), 7-5 win at fourth singles.
