Lyons Gameday Central: Swimming & Diving vs. Westfield State on Saturday

MEET MATCH-UP: Mount Holyoke College returns to action in the second of three-straight weekend dual meets, this time welcoming the Owls of Westfield State University. It marks the 32nd all-time meeting between the two programs, the first coming in 1980 - a 93-37 MHC win. The Lyons own the series advantage by a 25-6 margin, but the Owls have seen the most recent success with a 163-125 win in 2016.

THE LYONS: Mount Holyoke (1-1) is back in action this weekend following a 142-118 win over the University of New England last Saturday. The Lyons were paced by junior Bri Groves, who powered her way to wins in the 100 breaststroke, the 200 backstroke, the 200 individual medley, along with a victory in the 200 medley relay.

THE OWLS: Westfield State University (1-1) comes into this weekend's action following a 162-88 victory over Western New England on Wednesday evening. The Owls won the first 13 contested events and head coach Dave Laing earned his 200th career dual-meet win. Senior captain Tia Pariseau won three events, including the 50 breaststroke, the 50 freestyle, and the 100 breaststroke.

UP NEXT: Both squads are back in action next Saturday at 1pm. Mount Holyoke will conclude its three-meet homestand against Wellesley, while Westfield State travels to Northampton to square-off against the Pioneers of Smith.
