THE MATCHUP: Mount Holyoke welcomes the Purple and White of Amherst on Wednestday for the 24th all-time meeting. The series dates back to 1989-90, which saw Amherst defeat MHC 8-1. Amherst holds a 20-3 series advantage, and is currently on a six-match win streak. The last Lyons success came in 2009-10 in a 7-2 victory, whch completed a three-game win streak.

THE LYONS: Mount Holyoke (3-15) is coming off of a 6-3 loss to William Smith College on Saturday. Sophomore Ragini Ghose, who picked up a victory last weekend, leads the team overall, with a record of 10-7. Senior captain Allison Shilling owns a 7-10 record overall, including a 4-2 record from the second flight.

THE PURPLE & WHITE: Amherst (8-7) enters the match after a pair of wins against Colby and Bowdoin, and a loss to Bates. First year Jenna Finkelstein has a 13-2 record on the year and is currently on a three-match win streak. Classmate Katy Sabina Correia holds a 9-6 record.

NEXT UP: Following today's match, Mount Holyoke will be back at home in Seven Sisters action on Saturday, when it will face off against Smith, Wellesley, and Vassar for the Championship. Action begins at 10:00am as the Lyons face Smith. Amherst will be back in action at home against St. Lawrence at 5:00pm on Friday.
