THE MATCHUP: Mount Holyoke enters the match against Western New England for the fifth time in program history. The first match dates back to 2011 where WNE came out on top, 2-1. The Lyons have won the last two matches, coming away with a 2-1 victory in double overtime two seasons ago, and seeing a 3-2 advantage last year.

THE LYONS: Mount Holyoke (2-2-0) comes off of a 2-0 shutout against Wesleyan University Saturday. Sophomore defender Avia Jacobs and junior forward Jamie Collings scored two first half goals which secured the win. Through four games, sophomore forward Sara Sanaú Ruiz leads the NEWMAC in assists with five. Senior keeper Zoe Marshall is tied for first in the conference with 26 saves.

THE GOLDEN BEARS: Western New England (2-3-1) battled Castleton to a 1-1 tie Sunday afternoon. Sophomore forward Iman Shehemi, who leads the team with three goals, scored the lone tally for the Golden Bears. Sophomore goalkeeper Marissa Veilleux is the team leader with 16 saves.  

NEXT UP: Mount Holyoke returns to the pitch on Saturday traveling to Babson College for a conference bout at 2pm.  Western New England will also return to action on Saturday at home against Eastern Nazarene at 1:30pm.
