THE MATCHUP: Mount Holyoke continues its homestand on Saturday, hosting the Corsairs of the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth at 1pm. It is the first-ever meeting between the two teams.

THE LYONS: Mount Holyoke (1-0-0) opened its 2016 campaign in solid fashion on Thursday evening, posting a 7-0 victory over Southern Vermont College. The Lyons were paced by hat trick efforts from first years McKenna Lamb and Hannah Finn-Erb. Additionally, MHC saw sophomore forward Sara Sanaú Ruiz put forth a three assist effort in the contest. Senior Zoe Marshall and sophomore Amanda Manaster both saw time in goal for the Lyons as neither were forced to make a save.

THE CORSAIRS: UMass-Dartmouth (0-0-0) opens its campaign with Saturday's game. The Corsairs are coming off a 2015 season in which they went 7-7-2 overall with a 3-2-2 mark in Little East action. UMD had their solid season come to an end in the LEC Quarterfinals, falling to Keene State by a 1-0 margin. The Corsairs return a solid core of veterans as 16 of 23 members of last year's squad are back, including each of the top seven scorers. Senior midfielder Talia D'Ambruoso leads the way, coming off a junior year in which she recorded a team-best six goals with six assists for 18 points.

NEXT UP: Following today's match, Mount Holyoke returns to the pitch on Tuesday when it travels to Amherst College for a 7pm match. UMass-Dartmouth is right back in action on Sunday when it travels to Wentworth Institute of Technology for a 2pm game.
