Kudla became interim head coach of the Lyons basketball team in January of 2018. He previously had served as the assistant coach since the 2016-17 season. Additionally, he has taught English at Ludlow High School since 2013.

Prior to his time at Mount Holyoke, Kudla served as the assistant women’s basketball coach at Ludlow High School, in addition to teaching. He also taught English and served as the head girls’ varsity basketball coach at Williston Northampton School from 2004-13.

Collegiately, Kudla was the head coach of women’s basketball and assistant to the Athletic Director at Elmira College from 1999-03. Additionally, Kudla spent two seasons (1997-99) as the assistant men’s and women’s basketball coach at Clarkson University and was a graduate assistant women’s basketball coach at Indiana State University.

Kudla earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from the College of the Holy Cross in 1995. He also attended Indiana State University for graduate school.
