THE MATCHUP: Mount Holyoke returns home on Tuesday to face the Lions of Emerson College for the 14th time in program history. The series dates back to 2002 when Mount Holyoke picked up a 66-25 win over the Lions. The victory led to seven consecutive wins, giving MHC an 8-5 series advantage against Emerson.

THE LYONS: Mount Holyoke (0-11; 0-5 NEWMAC) is back in action following a road loss to Babson College last Saturday. Junior forward Leah Hodges led the way for the Lyons with her third consecutive double-digit performance, posting 11 points to go along wtih a pair of rebounds. First year guard Raquel Fitzpatrick controlled the glass, pacing the team with nine boards. Overall, Hodges leads the team in points with 7.6, while Fitzpatrick is close behind with 7.5. Fitzpatrick also leads the squad in assists (2.2) and steals (2.0).

THE LIONS: Emerson (4-8; 2-3 NEWMAC) enters the contest on a two-game winning streak, most recently picking up an 83-76 victory over Smith College last Saturday. The win was powered by 19 points from both junior guard Natalie Busch and sophomore guard Kate Foultz. Senior  guard Maya Savino also had a solid performance wtih 13 points, eight assists, and two steals. Overall, Foultz leads the team wtih 13.9 points.

NEXT UP: Mount Holyoke will play the back-end of its two-game home stretch on Thursday, hosting Clark University at 7:00pm, while Emerson heads back home on Saturday, facing Springfield College at 1:00pm.
