THE MATCHUP: Mount Holyoke welcomes the Engineers of MIT on Saturday for the 46th time in program history, dating back to 1975. The Lyons currently hold a 24-21 series advantage. MIT has won eight of the last 10 matchups between the two teams.

THE LYONS: Mount Holyoke (2-4 overall; 0-1 NEWMAC) is coming off a road loss to Clark on Tuesday in the NEWMAC opener. First year guard Kathryn Violette has continued a strong start to her rookie campaign with her fourth consecutive double-digit scoring effort, posting 11 versus the Cougars. Senior forward Xajaah Williams-Flores has also had a solid start to the year, averaging a near double-double with a team-best 12.6 points and 8.6 rebounds.  

THE ENGINEERS: MIT (4-1 overall; 1-0 NEWMAC) enters the game after a 75-40 victory over Emerson in its conference opener. First year Cindy Si led the Engineers off the bench with 19 points in only 18 minutes of play. For the year, MIT has two players averaging double-figures in Si and sophomore guard Kara Holinski. Si leads the team with 19.0 points per game, while sophomore forward Sophie Gershon anchors the defense, averaging four blocks per contest.

NEXT UP: Both teams return to NEWMAC action on Wednesday as Mount Holyoke hosts Springfield, while MIT welcomes Wheaton. Action for both contests begins at 7:00pm.
