THE MATCHUP: Mount Holyoke is back in action once again, welcoming the Pride of Springfield College. It marks the 33rd all-time meeting between the two programs, dating back to the first contest in 1974 - a 3-1 Pride victory. Springfield currently owns the all-time series record with an 18-13-1 mark, but the Lyons have seen the most recent success with wins in each of the last four match-ups.

THE LYONS: Mount Holyoke (5-4; 1-2 NEWMAC) shouldered a tough 3-1 loss to #2 Babson on Saturday. After a rough opening half, the Lyons bounced back, outshooting the Beavers, 11-2 and seeing senior captain and midfielder Kathryn Rawson score on a redirection in front. On the season, junior midfielder Mirjam Keochakian leads the MHC offense with 13 points (5 goals, 3 assists), while senior captain and forward Sophie Perekslis is second overall with 12 points on a team-best six goals. In the cage, sophomore Morgan Turner (5-4) has recorded 39 saves.

THE PRIDE: Springfield (5-4; 0-2 NEWMAC) enters Tuesday's action following a 3-2 loss at WPI on Saturday. The Pride found themselves down 3-1 going into the second half as sophomore Belle Copponi hammered home a tally to pull the contest to within one with 1:21 remaining. Springfield was unable to convert on a late penalty corner to tie the match. This season, Springfield's offense has been paced by senior forward Maggie Kennedy, who has seven goals and three assists for 17 points. In goal, the Pride has seen junior Emmalie Drake (5-4) notch 71 saves.

NEXT UP: Mount Holyoke returns to action on Saturday in a 12pm match at Wellesley. Springfield is back on the field on Thursday, hosting Bridgewater State at 5pm.
