THE MATCHUP: Mount Holyoke returns home for the first time in 17 days, following a road stretch that took them to Maine, Connecticut and Eastern Massachusetts. This weekend, the Lyons welcome the Cougars of Clark University in the 26th all-time matchup between the two teams dating back to 1994 - a 1-0 MHC victory. Clark went on a 6-0 run from 1995-00 but the Lyons have been the most dominant, owning a 14-11 series record with wins in the last three games.

LAST TIME OUT: The Lyons and Cougars last faced one another on October 3, 2015 in Worcester. MHC posted a 3-0 victory, backed by a pair of goals from Sophie Perekslis. The Lyons were also backed by outstanding defense, including a two-save effort from goalie Liz DiCesare.

THE LYONS: Mount Holyoke (3-4; 0-1 NEWMAC) enters Saturday's match following a tough 1-0 overtime loss to then-#14 Wellesley. The Lyons were dominant throughout, holding a 19-4 advantage in shots, but were unable to solve the Blue netminder. The game was the eighth consecutive game between the Blue and Lyons decided by one goal. The match-up was also the sixth in the last seven meetings between the two sides to be decided in overtime.

THE COUGARS: Clark (5-4; 0-1 NEWMAC) enters today's match following a 3-1 victory over Becker on Thursday evening. The Cougars capitalized on a two-goal first half and saw sophomore Olivia Barksdale score a pair of goals - including the game-winner - while also assisting on the game's first tally.

NEXT UP: Following today's match, Mount Holyoke will host Smith on Tuesday. Clark is also in action on Tuesday, hosting WPI. Both NEWMAC matches begin at 7pm.
