With sixth year head coach Michelle Scecina leading the way, the Mount Holyoke basketball team posted an overall record of 8-18 in 2009-10. The Lyons advanced to the NEWMAC Tournament for the second year in a row, falling 57-40 to second seeded WPI in the quarterfinal round. They posted a 6-12 mark in league play.

Squash Head Coach Allen Fitzsimmons served as the events emcee. Soccer team member Lauren Orr earned the prestigious Alumnae Association Scholar-Athlete Award.

Seven Mount Holyoke College student-athletes were recognized for their achievements in their respective sports as well as in the classroom. Academic All-Conference Teams were selected for the sports of basketball and swimming and diving.
