South Hadley, Mass. – August 24, 2021 - Interim Director of Athletics Erica Lemm is excited to announce the hiring of Alex Rachmaciej as the Assistant Track and Field and Cross Country Coach at Mount Holyoke College, effective August 2021.

Prior to his arrival at Mount Holyoke College, Rachmaciej was most recently a graduate assistant coach for the Springfield College track and field program. During his time at Springfield, Rachmaciej served as a jumps coach, was involved with all phases of the recruitment of student-athletes, coordinated academic study halls, and assisted in running daily practices.

"I am extremely excited to be a part of the Mount Holyoke cross country and track and field programs," said Rachmaciej. "I am looking forward to helping this team reach its goals both on and off the track. I am grateful for the opportunity to be working with Coach Kibler and helping him bring out the most out of these student-athletes."

A former jumper and sprinter for the track and field team at Springfield College, Rachmaciej graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Sports Biology and a minor in Athletic Coaching in May 2020. He is currently a member of the United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) and USA Track and Field. Rachmaciej is currently working on a Master's degree in Advanced Level Coaching at Springfield College.

"Coach Rachmaciej's passion for coaching, paired with his growth mindset, will be a game changer for the student-athletes in our program.
