Jacob and Lancaster Compete at Tufts National Qualifying Meet

Medford, Mass. - March 5 - 2022 - The Mount Holyoke College track and field team sent two student-athletes to compete at the Tufts National Qualifying Meet in the Gantcher Center on Saturday afternoon.

Highlighting the day for the Lyons, senior Simone Jacob (San Francisco, Calif.) placed sixth overall in the 800 meter run notching a personal best by over two seconds, clocking in a time of 2:17.12. Jacob's performance remains No. 2 all-time in Mount Holyoke College indoor track and field program history. First-year Tessa Lancaster (Mansfield, Mass.) had a strong race in the 5000 meter run, finishing in a time of 18:40.11.
