Track & Field Opens Competition at New England D3's

BRUNSWICK, Maine - Action at the 2019 New England Division III Championships kicked off on Friday and the Mount Holyoke College indoor track & field team finished solid. The Lyons saw four student-athletes combine to compete in the Distance Medley Relay.

The foursome of rookie Sydney Nash, sophomore Isabelle Wohlin, senior Emsie Cronin and sophomore Simone Jacob took to the track in the grueling race, posting a time of 12:52.89. That mark was good for 10th overall.

Mount Holyoke returns to action on Saturday as qualified individuals take to action on day two of NE D3's, including sophomores Hannah Rieders and Madeline Rieders in the 3,000 race, Wohlin in the 60-meter high hudles, and senior Julia Hecking in the weight throw. Competition begins at 10:30am on the campus of Bowdoin College.
