WELLESLEY, Mass. – The Mount Holyoke College swimming & diving team was back in the pool on Saturday afternoon, squaring off against Seven Sisters-rival Wellesley College. The Blue posted a score of 199-88 to capture the win, moving to 1-3. The Lyons slip to 1-3.

Mount Holyoke opened the meet with a second-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay. The foursome of senior Anne Kuenning, sophomore Bri Groves and seniors Katie Tyler and Emily Craig combined for a time of 1:54.68.

First year Natalie Burkett earned runner-up in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 12:04.07, while sophomore Delany Berry was third with a time of 12:44.30.

Craig swam to third in the 200-yard free with a time of 2:03.46, while in the 100-yard backstroke, Kuenning was second with a time of 1:03.92.

Groves powered her way to second in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:11.70, while first year Sarah Ratzlaff was third in the 200-yard butterfly, touching the wall with a time of 2:53.71.

Tyler swam to second in the 50-yard free with a time of 26.14, while Craig posted third in the 100-yd free with a mark of 57.75.

In the 200-yd back, Kuenning was second with a time of 2:18.24, while Berry was fourth with a mark of 2:37.14. In the 200-yd breast, Lim finished fourth with a time of 2:58.38. Sophomore Kate Flaherty was fifth overall in the 200-breast with a time of 3:09.81.

Craig was second in the 500-free with a time of 5:43.97, while Burkett was right behind in third with a mark of 5:56.65. Groves placed third in the 100-fly with a time of 1:04.04, followed by Tyler in fifth with a mark of 1:06.99.

Rounding out the individual swimming events was Groves, who placed second in the 100-yd individual medley, touching the wall with a time of 2:18.61. The foursome of junior Topaz Mukulu, Flaherty, Lim and Kuenning concluded the meet in third, posting a time of 1:50.33 in the 200-yd free relay.

In the diving events, first year Samantha Nemivant won the 1-meter with a score of 261.85 and the 3-meter with a score of 243.05.

The Lyons return to action on December 2-3 when they travel to Hamilton College to compete in the Hamilton Invitational. Action begins on Friday at 4pm, with action concluding on Saturday starting at 10am.
