Kalahe Claims Victory in Consolation Finals at CSA Individual National Championships

Philadelphia, Pa. - March 5, 2022 - Senior Mihiliya Kalahe (Panadura, Sri Lanka) of the Mount Holyoke College squash team had an impressive performance at the College Squash Association (CSA) Individual National Championships, winning three-consecutive matches to win the consolation finals on Sunday afternoon. 

At season's end, Kalahe finished with an overall record of 17-2 for individual matches. Over the course of four years and three competitive seasons, the senior recorded an impressive 66 wins, only losing 9 individual matches. 

During the consolation finals, Kalahe claimed the victory over Elizabeth Lentz of Columbia in a five-game thriller, as the senior won the first game 11-3, before controlling a two-game lead with an 11-7 win in the next game. Lentz held off by winning the third and fourth games 11-2 and 11-9, respectively, before Kalahe delivered an 11-7 win to take home the victory.
