Kalahe Advances to Consolation Finals of CSA Individual National Championships

Philadelphia, Pa. - March 5, 2022 - Senior Mihiliya Kalahe (Panadura, Sri Lanka) of the Mount Holyoke College squash team had an impressive performance at the College Squash Association (CSA) Individual National Championships on Saturday, as she knocked off Chatham's Sofia Ramos in the consolation semifinals of the Holleran Cup East Division.

It only took three games for Kalahe to defeat Ramos, as the senior, who lost her opening match of the tournament, battled back with wins over and Ramos to advance to the consolation finals. Kalahe won by the scores of 11-8, 11-8, 11-9 and will now advance to take on Elizabeth Lentz of Columbia. 

In the U.S. Intercollegiate Doubles Championships, Kalahe and sophomore Xaria Durocher (Boston, Mass.) challenged Esha Lakhotia and Lily Seckendorf in the Women's Open Doubles where the duo lost in three games with scores of 15-10, 15-9, 15-8.

Kalahe will take on Lentz in the consolation finals on Sunday, March 6 at 10:25 a.m.
